Wells of Rockwood Tennessee, formerly of Marshall will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday May 20, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday May 19, 2011 at the funeral home. Mr. Wells passed away May 15, 2011 in Rockwood, Tennessee. Wilburn O. Wells was born August 28, 1928 in Harleton, Texas to Charlie and June Wells. On August 27, 1948 he married Faye Justice in Marshall. Mr. Wells retired in 1990 after working for 43 years as a machinist for KCS Railroads and other railroads. He was a lifetime member of Memorial Baptist Church and had recently become a member of First Baptist Church in Rockwood, Tennessee. Surviving Wilburn are his wife of 62 years, Faye Justice Wells of Rockwood, Tennessee; two sons, William (Bill) Wells and wife Judy of Glasco, Kansas and Bobby Wells and wife Belinda of Rockwood, Tennessee; sister, Martha Shawn of Ft. Worth, Texas; brothers, Wesley Wells of Ft. Worth and Franklin Wells of Marshall, Texas; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and June Wells and two brothers, Wendell and Kenneth Wells.
