Reflections of Life "Don't Grieve for Me Now, I'm Free" William Ashley Alford was born September 24, 1973 to William and Helen Alford. He departed this life on January 24, 2013 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Texas. "Ashley" attended Marshall Public Schools and is a 1992 graduate of Marshall High School. At an early he joined the Peters Chapel Baptist Church in Karnack, Texas. He was employed at Marshall Regional Medical Center from 1993 until 1999. He then pursued his lifelong desire to become a truck driver by attending Northeast Texas Trucking School in Hughes Springs, Texas. After completion of his training, he began to drive for various trucking companies during a seven year span. In 2009, Ashley married the love of his life, Kavette Johnson and decided to give up trucking to spend more time with his bride. He then began to work for Schlumberger as a Fractech, where he was employed until his death. He was preceded in death by a special Aunt, Rebecca Lane, grandparents, William and Jessie Alford and Para Lee Lane. Ashley leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kavette Alford; parents, William and Helen Alford; one sister, LaTasha Murry (Sedrick); one step-son, Sigmund Turner Jr ; two nephews, Damarion and Justin Murry, all of Marshall; four aunts, Ethel Franklin of Marshall, Carrie Lane of Austin, Quille Mae Williams and Myrtle Jean Mitchell of Dallas ; one uncle, Daily Washington of Fort Worth, Texas; mother-in-law, Patricia Ann Johnson of Marshall, Texas; father-in-law, Tom Curtis Johnson (Ruth) of Fort Worth; and sister-in-law, LaShonda Johnson of Fort Worth. He will also be remembered and loved by a MULTITUDE of cousins and friends.
