A graveside funeral service for William B. "Bill" Taylor, 88, of Longview will be held at 10:00a.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Center Cemetery, Harleton, Texas with Bro. Dick Sawyer officiating. Mr. Taylor passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Longview.

William B. "Bill" Taylor was born November 14, 1928 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Paul and Buna Mae Taylor. Bill was a graduate of Harleton High School. After graduation he continued his education and received an engineering degree. On May 19, 1950 he married the love of his life, Hulene Downs. Bill and Hulene spent the next 67 years creating memories, raising their children and spoiling grandchildren and great-grandchildren alike.

Bill was employed by SWEPCO for 15 years and later Thiokol for 23 years where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Marshall Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years.

Surviving Bill is his loving wife, Hulene Downs Taylor of Longview; children, Zelda Taylor Griese of Longview, Lisa Taylor of Henderson, Kyle Taylor and wife, Phyllis of Kilgore; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, step-father, Jack Boldebook; sister, Naomi Taylor Watts; and a son, Hugh Bryan Taylor in 2004.
