A memorial service for William "Jerry" Giddings, 76, of Waskom, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Waskom, Texas. A visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Church.

Jerry was born on January 24, 1947, in Shreveport, La to William Milton Giddings and Helen Wanda Scogins and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in Shreveport, La.

He was a resident of Waskom, Texas and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Waskom. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He also loved to spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Helen Giddings and sister-in-law, Dawn Giddings.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Giddings; children, Robby Giddings and wife, Amber and Keith Giddings and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Chelsea Giddings, Kaylee Giddings, Chase Giddings, Chandler Giddings and Tanner Starr; great grandchild, Oaklyn Huffman; sister, Ann McGee and husband, Bill and brother, Wayne Giddings along with numerous other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to First Baptist Church of Waskom.
