A visitation for William L. Johnson, 78, of Hallsville will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson passed away at his home Saturday, April 22, 2017 with his loving family by his side.

William Johnson was born December 13, 1938 to William Hugh and Ella Rea Johnson in Commerce, Texas. Mr. Johnson was an educator. Having received a Masters Degree in education, he spent his life teaching students in Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Duncanville and Marshall, Texas schools. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, and fishing on Caddo Lake.
