William Thomas "Bill" Redmon, Jr. went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, William Thomas Redmon, Margaret Burkham Redmon Keener Davis, his stepfathers Frank Keener and James Davis, his wife Betty Redmon, his grandparents Julius and Annie Lee Burkham and Ragon and Effie Lee Redmon; also preceded in death by his aunts and uncles, Dick Redmon, Jack Redmon, SJ "Curl" Burkham, Jr., Veenie Ola Burkham, BG Burkham and Kenneth Burkham.

He was born on June 9, 1949, in Marshall, Texas, his sweet mother, Margaret, declared he looked just like his daddy and was the smartest baby alive.  In his youth, Bill had many friends, participated in the Boy Scouts, and played baseball as a catcher. He was also a favorite among his teachers. With siblings, Judy and Jack, he grew up surrounded by family, love, and Jesus. His father passed away when he was 12, and his mother married Frank Keener, the amazing man that became not only his second father but also the grandfather to his children later in life. He attended Panola College.  He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He married the love of his life, Betty Redmon, in Smith County on October 23, 1979. They had three sons, Chris, Bryn, and Tommy.  His sons brought him joy and happiness beyond words, and he relished watching them grow and being a part of their lives. He loved and cherished his grandchildren Raegan, Randi Paige, Hunter, Gauge, Dayne, Cohen, Zane, and Braylee.

Known for having numerous stories and a pack of loyal dogs, he was often seen talking with friends and family when not working. He spent much of his life in the Sabine River bottoms outside of Marshall, hunting with family and fishing with Betty and their sons.  He also coached and assisted with many softball and baseball teams. He was an accomplished salesman working for the family business all his life with his uncle, Dick Redmon. Bill's vibrant personality, honest demeanor and warm conversation skills earned the trust of customers throughout the country. When Bill shook a person's hand and said they had a deal, that's all they needed to hear.

His generosity to those he loved was unmatched. His nieces and nephews saw him as a second father and always knew he was "the guy" to go to in any situation. He fiercely loved and valued his family. In his life, the things that brought him joy the most were his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, hunting, fishing, and storytelling. He leaves his family with memories and life experiences that will always bring them happiness and joy. He was truly one of a kind in every way and no other man will ever take his place in their hearts.
