William H. (Bill) Simmons, Jr. of Marshall passed away July 23, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Simmons was born October 11, 1944 in Ft. Worth, TX, and graduated from Kermit High School. He served four years in the U.S. Army and four years in the U.S. Air Force, serving three tours in Vietnam. Mr. Simmons was owned a Hot Shot Trucking business. He is survived by his best friend and caregiver, Sharyn Simmons; sons, Tommy M. Simmons and wife Jill of Bedford, TX, Bill G. Simmons and wife Mendi of Marshall, Michale Simmons of Kilgore; daughters, Katie Simmons Taylor and husband Johnnie of Lamore California, Lisa Simmons of Kilgore; grandchildren, Braden and Cody Simmons, Chris and Blake Simmons and Ty and Carson Brannon. A special thank you to the Heartsway Hospice of Marshall for the loving and compassionate care that was given during this difficult time. There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
