Willie Faye
Hardeman
Jul 4, 1949 — Mar 13, 2023
Dallas
Willie Faye Hardeman, daughter of the late Eddie Brown Sr. and Dorothy Mae Brown was born July 4, 1949, in Waskom, Texas.
Faye attended Booker T. Washington High School in Elysian Fields, Texas. After high school, she left the small town for Dallas, Texas. She retired from Sample House in 2010, after 27 years of service. She loved to get glammed up at the salon, exercising, shopping and walking around North Park Mall. She enjoyed talking to family and friends on the phone. She would know everything that was happening from Oklahoma to East Texas to North Texas, without leaving her home.
Faye sadly left us on March 13, 2023, at the age of 73.
She is preceded in death by her five sister, Ella Faye Brown, Dessie Mae Benton, Juanita Draper, Gladys Brown and Dorothy Ann Hill; one niece, Paula Benton-Ellison and one nephew, Darren Wayne Draper (Duck).
She is survived by one sister, Carolyn Sue Fletcher; one brother, Eddie Brown Jr.; one brother-in-law, Rufus (Sunny) Draper and one aunt Theodora Copeland. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service for Faye will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Boggy Cemetery.
