A graveside service for Mr. Manning will be at Mount Pleasant cemetery in Elysian Fields, Texas at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home.

Mr. Willie Charles Manning was born on March 1, 1940 to the late Eugene and Mammie Manning. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the MT Pleasant Baptist Church. He was well know for being a hard working man, who loved gardening, animals, and outdoors. He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving wife Rose Manning, of twenty years his children: Dianne "Frank" Freeman, Ricky "Keisha" Manning, Darlene "Jimmy" Willie, Fay Lavergne, Patrick "Gail" Fannin, Willie Manning Jr, Anthony Fannin, and Shirley Carter, twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
