Funeral services for Windel Eugene Wyatt, 31 of Elysian Fields will be held at 2:00p.m., Friday February 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Sherwin officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Waskom under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday February 24, 2011 at the funeral home. Mr. Wyatt passed away February 22, 2011 as the result of an automobile accident. Windel Eugene Wyatt was born March 19, 1979 in Gadsden, Alabama to Windel Orell Wyatt and Sharon Ann Wolf. On August 31, 2002, he married Casey Gregory in Elysian Fields. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Waskom and worked in the oilfield industry for a number of years, having worked for Basic Oilfield Co. Windel enjoyed playing golf and playing baseball and football with his children. He also enjoyed sports and was an avid Saints fan. Surviving Windel are the love of his life of 14 years, Casey Wyatt; children, Caleb and Keegan Wyatt all of Elysian Fields; mother, Sharon Wolf of Waskom; maternal grandparents, Ann Hamilton and husband James of Waskom; sister, Amanda Smith of Shreveport; brother, Robert Smith of Waskom; brother-in-law, Thomas Lopez; aunts, Tammy Wolf Canoe of Dallas, Lesia Wolf of Waskom, Michelle Wolf Anthony of Kentwood, LA and Sonya Turner Riley of Haslett; great-aunt, Wanda L. Crimm of Waskom and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Wisdom, George Gregory, Wendell Anthony, Thomas Lopez, Kevin Mitchell and Nathan Harris.
