Funeral Services for Winnie Mae Jones, 94, of Marshall, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2015, in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m., prior to the service. Mrs. Jones passed away January 13, 2015. Winnie Mae Jones was born May 4, 1920 in Shreveport, LA to Louis and Carrie Jones. She married Paul A. Kelly in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1963. She later married Freddie Jones in 1980. He preceded her in death in 1990. Winnie was a former bookkeeper for the law firm of Ray, Kilpatrick, Grant, Baxter and Dennis, as well as, Carrington Motors. She also served as a pink lady for the hospital and worked with meals on wheels. Winnie was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving Winnie are son, Paul L. Kelly and wife Ann of Katy, TX; grandchildren, Paul F. Kelly and wife Amy of Waller, TX, Kristin Clark and husband Bill of Mooresville, NC; great grandchildren, Maddison Clark, Alexis Clark, William Clark III, Paul C. Kelly, Elizabeth Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill Jones; sister, Bernice Meckley; and granddaughter, Kendall Kelly Clark. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Jones, Paul Williams, Paul F. Kelly, Bill Clark, William Clark III, Jim Fulbright and Paul C. Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Kimberly Barbolla, and Richard Bozeman. The family would like to thank Bessie Dawson, Shirley Carver, Bette Watkins and Reunion Inn for all their loving care for Winnie.
